Bad Luck Continues
At Lincoln
When will our luck
change? Jeff and the 7v team worked all day on
Saturday finding and fixing the problems from the
week before. The team loaded up ad wet to Lincoln
where the car looked good in warm-ups. Then came the
heat where Jeff started 6th and ended up flipping in
turn 1 and 2. There was a lot of damage to the
7v (top wing, front wing, front axel, motor mount,
plus more) The team worked hard once again (Thanks
Guys) to put the car back together for the consi.
Starting 11th in a consi and only taking 4 is a
tough thing to try. And Jeff gave it his all but the
car was not sharp.
Finishing 6th was
all the car had in it. The heats were not good for
the trailways guys as the cosi was full with
drivers like Brad McClelland,
Billy and Danny Dietrich. Well it looks like another
long week in the shop and then its off to Trailways on
Friday.

Lincoln?
With the threat of
rain in the air Jeff and the 7v went to Lincoln. The
car looked good in warm-ups. The track was very
tacky after the 410 time trials. Then came our heat
races. Jeff was in the 1st heat for the 358's and on
the drop of the green the car was all over the
place. Jeff held on to get a 4th place finish to
make the feature but the invert is 3 so that put
Jeff and the 7v in a 13th starting spot. At the
start Jeff was waiting and picking his spots working
his way front. The car was fast. He had already
pasted a few cars when on lap 3 going into 1 and 2 a
car spun out in front of him. Jeff was on the brakes
and had the car all but stopped when we were once
again part of the mess. The damage was a flat front
tire. After getting towed back the crew changed the
tire and Jeff came back out. Lined up in the rear
and before they could get back under way the rain
came and the track canceled the race. The rest
of the feature will be ran on May 31st

WERE WE 1ST OR 2ND
The car ran better
this week. The crew worked it's butt off to fix the
problem from last week. We have a great crew. Now
back to the heading of this story. Last night Jeff
ran a great race. In the feature Jeff started 6th
and patiently worked his way thru the cars and took
the lead on lap 11. But on lap 19 a caution came
out. and the track scored 2nd place runner Brad
McClelland as the leader. Jeff
did not at first want to give up the front running
spot but later would. When asked in the pits after
the race. Jeff said he thought Brad was never in
front of him at the flag stand. From where everyone
on the team was standing we all were thinking the
same thing. We will have to wait till the tape comes
out next week to see. Hope they got it. It will make
no difference what the tape shows but it will be
peace of mind. Jeff raced hard over the last
remaining laps to finish 2nd. All in all a good run
for the 7v.

THE 7V HAD
TROUBLES
Jeff came to the
track ready to continue where he left off but that
would never be. When the 7v was started to put heat
in the motor it was apparent something was wrong.
Roy and Jeff worked on the motor trying to fix it.
When it came time for warm-ups the 7v was still in
the pits the team working hard. The came the heats
and the 7v was a no show. Looking in the pits and Roy
and Jeff was still working on the car. Come feature
time the 7v lined up 24th. Thank god there were only
24 cars at Trailways on Friday. After Jeff took the
green he pulled into the infield. The 7v got
credited for 22nd after a 1st lap wreck.

JEFF SETS NEW 10
LAP TRACK RECORD
The 7v and Jeff
came back strong. With it being opening night at
Trailways. Starting positions in the heats and
feature were decided by the luck of a pill draw.
Jeff started up front in his heat and went on to set
a new 10 lap track record of 2:20.07, the old record
was held by Mike Lehman of 2:20.30 set on 9/2/05.
Danny Dietrich also beat the old track record but it
was not as fast as Jeff's. The 7v was flying.
Then it came time
for the feature Jeff started 2nd and Billy Dietrich
started on the poll by Colt White choosing to start
in the rear. It was a race to watch, Billy and Jeff
raced door to door over the 25 laps with Billy
getting the win. Jeff did take the lead briefly but
Billy got back by him. It was great to see all the
hard work by everyone got the problem fixed from the
week before at Lincoln. Jeff and the 7v that we know
can win any give week is back.

DISAPPOINTING
NIGHT AT LINCOLN
It was one of
those nights. The 7v would not run at it full
potential. It was apparent in warm-ups there was
something wrong, the car would sputter down the
straight. Roy, Jeff and the rest of the crew went to
work to find out what it was. In the heat race the
6th starting 7v could only make it to a 5th place
finish, the problem was still there. With 4 to
qualify we had to run the consi. The gang went back
to work again looking for the reason it was missing
on the straight. In the consi Jeff started 2nd and
in the parade laps the problem looked fixed. But on
the drop of the green the 7v sputtered again. The
engine would just miss at about mid point on the
straights every lap. Jeff was able to bring home the
7v with a 2nd place finish. So the team went back to
work again trying to find the problem. In the
feature Jeff was towards the back starting 20th. At
the green the 7v did not go and 2 rows behind had to
take evasive action to keep from hitting the car.
There was a first lap caution (not caused by us) and
they lined up again for the restart Jeff chose to
start at the back but once again the same problem
that plagued the 7v was still there. a few laps
later there was another caution and Jeff decided to
pull the 7v of the track. That was the end of a
disappointing night for Roy, Jeff and the crew.
